Binguang Wang
HKN Professional Biography
Binguang Wang is a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at University of Hawaii at Manoa. His academic interest is on electro-physics, particular focused on hardware, power system, circuit and PCB design. He is currently working for a drone project on the aspects of image processing and object detection. He is serving as a treasure of the Delta Omega chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu(HKN). Expected graduation time is in the Fall 2016 semester. His career goal is to find a job, allowing him to solve engineering problems and gain more knowledge. Outside of school, his bobbies include watching movies, playing table tennis and solving math puzzles.
Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?
I would like to live in the movie of "How To Train Your Dragon". This is because I really like animals and I believe that nobody will refuse to have a dragon as personal mount.
Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?
My home town is Fujian, China. My favorite places on the island are Moanalua High school and UHM. These are the places where I made friends, had fun, studied, worked and grown.
Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?
Travel the world for twice: first time with family; second time with friends.
Q: What inspired you to join HKN?
I join HKN because it provides opportunities to associate other intelligent engineering students and get involve on different activities.
