Kevin Oshiro
HKN Professional Biography
Kevin R. Oshiro is a senior in electrical engineering in the systems track at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His interests include communications, signal processing, and other math and probability based topics. He currently works as a student lab technician at the Instrumentation Development Lab (IDLAB) where he writes and tests FPGA firmware. He also serves as the Engineers' Council at the University of Hawaii (ECUH) representative for the Delta Omega chapter of IEEE-HKN. After graduation, Kevin plans to attend graduate school at the University of Hawaii to obtain his master's degree. In his free time, he enjoys strength training, bowling, playing guitar, and drinking coffee.
Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?
I would live in Hyrule, because Legend of Zelda.
Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?
Waipahu is my hometown and my favorite place would be anywhere with good food and coffee.
Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?
... I don't have a bucket list.
Q: What inspired you to join HKN?
I joined for the opportunity to meet other people and better myself.
