Bobby White
HKN Professional Biography
Bobby R. White is a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His academic interests include embedded systems programming, advanced programming, and artificial intelligence. He is currently doing communications software development for Open Power Quality leading him to pursue a master's in software engineering after graduating in the Spring 2017 semester. Outside of school, he enjoys horticulture and growing an edible landscape, traveling and exploring new cultures, and discovering and trying new cuisines. Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why? A .hack//Sign world but a happier version, where our whole being is able to freely and entirely enter a virtual world, but at the same time have the ability to leave the virtual world and be back in the real world. Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island? I was born and raised on the east side of the Big Island. My favorite place on this island would have to be my room because it is a retreat from work but at the same time where I do a lot of work. Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list? Live around the world. I really want to go beyond just seeing and exploring the world through traveling as a tourist. I want to experience what it's like to actually live in different places all around the world. Q: What inspired you to join HKN? I was inspired to join HKN because it was a great opportunity to be around more hardworking and like-minded people. |
