On October 20, 2017 the HKN Delta-Omega chapter participated in Holmescoming, an annual fundraiser event held by the Engineering Alumni Association at the University of Hawai'i to benefit College of Engineering student organizations. The event was held on the front lawn of Holmes Hall and was attended by hundreds of local alumni and professionals. HKN, along with eight other student organizations, had a club booth and built a game that showcased technical skills learned through course work and projects. The game utilized an Arduino and mimicked the arcade game where a light quickly circles around a ring as the player tries to hit a button when the light is at a specific point. HKN members also volunteered throughout the day to set-up, work main event shifts, and clean-up. Main event shift duties included everything from guest registration and security patrol to serving food and drinks. Overall, the event allowed the HKN Delta-Omega chapter to give back to the community and was a good networking opportunity.
