Christopher Aguilar
HKN Professional Biography
Christopher Aguilar is an Electrical Engineering Senior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His interests are in renewable energy, physical electronics, and code integration, leading him to pursue a custom track outside of the predetermined tracks. Prior to pursing his degree, Chris worked on Naval nuclear reactors in the U.S. Navy, completing several western pacific deployments, and developing a high level of mechanical knowledge, discipline, and drive. With the combined knowledge covering mechanical, nuclear, and electrical concepts, Chris hopes to make an impact in helping push forward the renewable and nuclear technologies for a cleaner future. Outside of school and work, his hobbies are surfing, fire spinning, PC-gaming, and fixing various electrical and mechanical items. Q: What Inspired You to Join HKN? HKN can be a force for good, helping not only to network, but also give back to those that come after us in pursuit of knowledge. This drive is what inspired me to join. Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island? Houston, Texas. Favorite Piece of Land: Oahu. Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why? Steins;Gate. Like life, the contrast of tragedy and happiness is bittersweet, as is the show. Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list? Visit a large number of countries. |
